Ask:
Ohio Knife (my project from 2010-2020) wanted to create their second video, “Bleed You,” a rip-roaring rocker from our first record, “Scalp or Be Scalped”
Goals:
The goal for Ohio Knife’s 2014 rocking tune, “Bleed You,” was to showcase the band having a great time at practice, using a couple of GoPro cameras to capture the laid-back vibe of hanging out with friends, enjoying good music, and sharing a favorite bottle of bourbon.
Results:
The result was a fun and authentic video that perfectly captured the spirit of Ohio Knife—a band enjoying time with friends, great music, and their favorite bourbon. We got our neighbors involved, turning practice into a lively gathering that felt as good as it sounded. And yes, this was pre-COVID, so sharing a bottle of bourbon with everyone felt perfectly natural and added to the sense of community and camaraderie.
